In detail:
Studio17 is a place dedicated to experimentation and research in visual and plastic arts. The Atelier is deeply rooted in the Monte Pisano area and collaborates with various institutions in the field of contemporary art and culture at national and international level.
We will start with a visit to the Art Studio, among ancient sculptures casts and contemporary artworks. The resident artists will lead us to discover their “habitat”, their researches and materials, their work that is so closed to the landscape where they work and live.
Together we’re going to collect wild herbs, going out for a short walk in the Atelier surrondings.
Once back we’ re going to create our herbarium, making the cast of the collected herbs and weeds.
We’ll realize a sort of plaster botanical bas relief with a simple but ancient tecnicque.
At the end each one will be able to take home his own bas-relief, a piece, a fragment of our landscape.
