Two days E-bike itinerary to discover the Romanesque parish churches and the rural landscape of Monte Pisano
This itinerary winds along the slopes of Monte Pisano and will take you to visit some of the most beautiful religious buildings of medieval art. On your bicycle saddle and accompanied by an expert environmental and tourist guide, you will discover the still little known landscape of rural Tuscany, with pleasant stops along the way to visit local organic farms and taste their products.

Itinerary
Meeting with the environmental hiking guide with an introduction to the route, the use of E-bikes and baggage claim. Along the stretch of road from San Giuliano to Gattaiola you will find the first religious buildings: the Pieve di San Marco in Rigoli and the Pieve di Santa Maria and San Giovanni Battista in Pugnano
Arrival in Gattaiola with a stop at the Pieve di Sant’Andrea Apostolo and meeting with the tour guide for a brief introduction to the Romanesque architectural style of Monte Pisano.
Stop at the Fratelli Urbani farm: welcome in the vineyard and technical / historical illustration of the company, visit to the small and charming family cellar, lunch with wine and local products tasting.
Back in the saddle towards the nearby Pieve di San Michele Arcangelo , then the itinerary continues entering Compitese, a side of Monte Pisano characterized by the silent and green villages of Vorno, Pieve di Compito, Sant’Andrea and San Ginese di Compito where an overnight stay is foreseen.
In March the Compitese is animated by the Antiche Camellie della Lucchesia exhibition . In this period it will be possible to take advantage of the many activities offered, from the tea ceremony to the visit to the Camellietum Compitese and enjoy the flowering of the centuries-old camellias.
Arrival in S. Andrea di Compito and on request guided tour of the ‘Camellietum Compitese’. On the way from S. Andrea di Compito to San Ginese we can admire the Pieve di San Leonardo in Treponzio.

9.00 am departure for Ruota, short visit to the village and to the Pieve San Bartolomeo . From Ruota the route resumes in the direction of Vicopisano: passing through Buti you can visit the Pieve di San Francesco and immerse yourself in the village atmosphere for a coffee.
About a stop in Vicopisano. Meeting with the tour guide and visit to the Pieve San Jacopo in Lupeta , a Romanesque building immersed in the green olive groves that mark the surrounding landscape.

After lunch, visit the Pieve di Santa Maria and the village, the Clock and Brunelleschi Towers, the Palazzo Pretorio.
the itinerary resumes until it reaches the Arno river. You will skirt the river bank to the beautiful Pieve di Santa Giulia , immersed in the Pisan countryside, located just outside the town of Caprona. This evocative church, built in different phases and with different materials, tells a story that is almost a thousand years old.
The last part of the itinerary will wind along the Medici Aqueduct, an ancient hydraulic system for capturing water that supplied spring water to the city of Pisa.
Expected arrival in San Giuliano Terme. Baggage claim and welcome drink or ice cream.

In case of bad weather, it will be necessary to change the date of the activity. If the customer is unable to change the date, a refund equal to 50% of the amount paid will be provided (for the costs of opening the file)
